Kingston Community Health Centres (KCHC) Settlement Services

  • Kingston Immigration Partnership (KIP)
    • Collaborative effort of local agencies, community leaders, businesses and individuals that work towards building a welcoming, inclusive, and resilient community for newcomers living in Kingston.
    • Priorities: include: newcomer children and youth, international students, coordination of refugee supports and community mobilization

  • Immigrant Services Kingston & Area (ISKA)
    • KCHC's Immigrant Services Kingston and Area program envisions Kingston as a community that is strengthened by the contributions and skills of immigrants, newcomers, and refugees.
    • Offers a variety of programs:
      • One-on-one language, cultural, and social mentoring
      • Weekly English conversation circles
      • Citizenship classes
      • Income tax support
      • Newcomers social groups
      • Ethnic cooking group

ACFOMI - Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario, Conseil régional des Mille-Îles

  • ACFOMI strives to welcome, develop, fulfill and vitalize French-speaking communities in the Thousand Islands region (Belleville to Brockville)

    • Welcoming and Settlement Centre
    • Employment services, including a Job Board
    • Orientation to Kingston and Ontario

  • KEYS is a leading employment organization in Kingston, Gananoque, and Sharbot Lake which provides settlement support to newcomers from diverse backgrounds

      • HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters)
      • SMART (Supporting Mothers and Raising Toddlers)
      • SWIS Program helps newcomers with school-aged children navigate the school system
