FLA OHT releases Holiday Health Resource List to find care over the winter break
December 15, 2025
As the winter holidays approach, the Frontenac, Lennox & Addington Ontario Health Team (FLA OHT) has released its annual list of Holiday Health Resources to help community members know where and how to access care between December 22, 2025 and January 5, 2026—a time when many primary care clinics, community services, and pharmacies have altered or reduced hours.
The list of holiday health resources brings together information from partners across the region to make it easier for people to find the right care, in the right place, at the right time. It includes details about walk-in clinics, urgent care, mental health supports, crisis lines, and more available throughout the holidays.
“We know community members can be unsure about where to go to access care when their regular providers are closed,” says Dr. Kim Morrison, FLA OHT Executive Lead. “We are committed to making sure no one feels without support during the holidays. This list helps people understand their options so they can get the care they need when they need it.”
The FLA OHT encourages everyone to explore the guide and prepare for their health needs over the holidays. Residents connected with a family doctor or nurse practitioner are reminded to check with their provider or clinic about holiday hours before seeking other services. For individuals without a primary care provider or those needing urgent care, the guide outlines options for accessing services that address specific needs. Residents are also reminded to plan proactively by ensuring prescriptions are filled before the holidays.
The FLA OHT brings together health, community, and social service organizations to make health care more accessible, integrated, and equitable for everyone in our community. Creating and sharing the list of holiday health resources is one example of how partners are working together to improve access to care and support people across the region—especially during times when navigating the system can feel most challenging.
