Indigenous Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters program
Kingston Native Center and Language Nest is now offering the Indigenous Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program. This program is offered in home to parents and caregivers of children ages 3-5 years old.
HIPPY is an evidence-based home visitation program. HIPPY program encourages and motivates parents/caregivers to give their children the best possible chance at life. The curriculum will focus on building your capacity, confidence, and community connections as you take on the lead role in preparing your children for school.
Indigenous HIPPY offering:
- Fun science, math based activities with all supplies offered.
- Monthly group meetings for children and parents to meet new people
- New books, fun games, toys for your families collection.
- Building stronger bonds with your children.
- Strengthening your understanding and skills that YOU are your child’s 1st teacher.
