David M C Walker, MD FRCPC
Chair, Transitional Leadership Collaborative
Dr. David Walker brings decades of experience in medicine and leadership to the FLA OHT from his career in emergency medicine at Queen's University and Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Among many roles, he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Director of Queen’s School of Medicine and CEO of the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO), and President of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He is both a Matthews Fellow in Global Public Policy, in the School of Policy Studies, and a Professor Emeritus (Emergency Medicine).
The FLA OHT mission resonates with Dr. Walker's belief that in order to care for people’s health providers and institutions need to knit together in a redesigned system; one where everyone has access to care without obstacles or delays and in which they play a central and informed role.
