Winning Strategies for Serving Francophone Clients
The project Winning strategies for serving Francophone clients aims to bring together OHT members around a set of actions to promote the active offer of services in French.
The project includes six effective and simple actions to implement by health service providers. It is also an opportunity to advance your Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plan and your Quality Improvement Plan.
The six steps are:
- Identify one or more champions in your organization
- Empower staff members
- Identify staff members able to provide services in French
- Identify Francophone clients
- Match Francophone clients with staff members able to provide services in French
- Measure results
All tools are presented in an easy-to-use directory and can be downloaded from the website French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario.
The project is a collaborative initiative of the Kids Come First Health Team with the Eastern Ontario Health Teams and is made possible thanks to the support of the French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario, the Société Santé en français and Health Canada.
